We will be hosting three, six course dinners, where you can taste reserve, rare, and specially allocated whiskey, rye whiskey, and bourbons. Rare Whiskey Dinner, May 11th, 2023, 6pm - 9pm
Join us for an exclusive whiskey tasting experience featuring highly coveted bottles including Sezarac Rye 18, George T Stagg, WM Larue Weller, Elmer T Lee, Blanton's Single Barrel, and Stagg JR. Expertly paired with a delicious six-course meal, this is a one-of-a-kind event at Elm City Social you won't want to miss.
What to expect during the tasting:
Upon arrival you will be greeted by an expert in Whiskey and Chef John Brennan. Chef Brennan will then talk to you about his love for rye whiskey, whiskey, bourbon, and his menu for the night. You will then work your way through our six (6) course tasting menu, including two cocktails (first and last course). Our Whiskey expert will walk you through the tasting of each whiskey; including the history, the process in which it is made, and flavor profile.
We will then conclude the dinner with a small recap of what was tasted and answer any questions you may have.

Whiskey Education Classes in CT
We offer classes in the restaurant that teach you about whiskey; from how its distilled, to the types of whiskeys and how to tell them apart, to making a few whiskey based cocktails. By the time your class is over you’ll have a better appreciation and some new knowledge about this popular and intricate spirit. We’ll also make sure to sample some food that pairs great with the spirits and cocktails you’ll taste throughout the class.
